WIKILEAKS

WikiLeaks have a very interesting definition to me, personally I haven’t really focused on this type of work, so hearing about it has really opened my eyes on some types of information that I have seen in the world, and how WikiLeaks is a big reason for that exposure. I think that WikiLeaks has a variety of good, bad, useful, and irresponsible information within it. Information is very important for us U.S. citizens to here, but other information is very much so irrelevant to many people’s lives, and would be better left in the dark. For example, the 2016 election with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, and the scandal about the emails between Hillary and Iraq is information that is very important and should be shared throughout the country, given the circumstances of voting for our next president. For example, if you had to choose between two desserts, one a jelly filled donut and the other a maple bar, wouldn’t you want to know all of the ingredients and things associated with both...? But definitely what is inside that donut? It’s kind of the same thing, before making a big decision you want to know all the facts about each thing. The current state of freedom of speech as well as access to information on the Internet I think stands at a good place. But that doesn’t mean that there can be some adjustments that could be made for the better. Net neutrality has always been a big topic, but is now is a new HOT topic now a days, there is more information on it and current standings that it’s getting closer to happen brings a great concern to not only myself, but to my other fellow millennials. It obligates us give great thought on the future and how our future families will have to deal with this certain issue, and more that come up.
